The Winsen MP-4-24V CH4 Methane Natural Combustible Gas Sensor with a metal cap features advanced planar construction. It is comprised of a heater and metal oxide semiconductor material on a subminiature Al2O3 ceramic plate, with a fetch out electrode down-lead, encapsulation in a metal base and cap. When the target gas is present, the sensor's conductivity increases with the gas concentration.
A simple electronic circuit can be used to convert the change in conductivity to correspond to the output signal of gas concentration.
