The RTC chip DS3231 on board the module provides real-time clock functionality, counting seconds, minutes, hours, date of the month, month, day of the week, and year with leap-year compensation valid up to 2100. Users have the option to choose between 24-hour or 12-hour format with an AM/PM indicator. Additionally, the module comes with 2 programmable alarm clocks.
