The US-100 Ultrasonic Sensor Distance Measuring Module with Temperature Compensation can measure objects in the range of 2 cm to 450 cm. It operates on a wide voltage input range of 2.4V to 4.5V and features GPIO, serial communication methods, and stable performance. This sensor provides accurate temperature-corrected range detection and offers both digital and serial data output modes. It is compatible with 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers and consumes only 2mA when idle.
To use the US-100 in Serial Data Mode, connect the VCC and GND pins to a 2.4V-5.5V power supply and set the operating mode using the jumper. In this mode, the sensor outputs distance as binary serial data or a single pulse based on the jumper setting. For Pulse Width Mode, remove the jumper and trigger measurements using the Trig/TX and Echo/RX pins.
For Serial Data Mode, set the microcontroller's serial port to 9600 baud and send specific bytes to read distance and temperature. In Pulse Width Mode, measure the pulse width to calculate the distance. The package includes 1 x US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module.
