The 1838 is our miniaturized infrared receivers designed for remote control applications and other scenarios requiring improved ambient light rejection. The separate PIN diode and preamplifier IC are assembled on a single lead frame, housed in an epoxy package that contains a special IR filter. This module delivers outstanding performance even in disturbance-prone ambient light environments and offers protection against uncontrolled output pulses.
