The TP4056 1A Li-Ion Lithium Battery Charging Module Micro B USB is a small and lightweight lithium battery charger module with an onboard Micro USB interface. It allows for direct connection to a computer USB port for charging. Alternatively, you can use an external source voltage at the IN+/IN- pads, making it ideal for DIY projects.
Other features of the TP4056 module include a current monitor, under-voltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins for indicating charge termination and input voltage presence.
Note: This breakout board does not have overcurrent protection. It is recommended to connect an Ampere meter in series with the 5V input end. The charging current should be around 0.37 times the battery capacity. Ensure a good contact between the board and the battery. The chip may operate at around 60 degrees Celsius, which is normal. Reverse connection of the input has no effect on the chip, but reverse connection of the output (batteries) will damage the chip.
