The thermistor is known for exhibiting a large change in resistance with only a small change in temperature. It follows a pre-defined curve provided by the manufacturer. Positive thermal coefficient (PTC) increases in resistance with temperature, while negative ones (NTC) decrease. The formula is non-linear, so an accurate table of measurements is sometimes better than the linear formula.
