Unlike other threads, this stainless steel thread is not plated with silver and does not have a Nylon core, making it more durable and less likely to burn up when in contact with a soldering iron.
While slightly more challenging to work with in fine conditions due to its hairy nature, waxing the thread for hand sewing can alleviate this issue. For machine sewing applications, it is recommended to avoid sewing close connections to prevent potential short circuits caused by the thread's hairs.
