The ST-LINK/V2 is equipped with a single wire interface module (SWIM) and JTAG/serial wire debugging (SWD) interfaces to communicate with STM8 or STM32 microcontrollers on application boards. It shares features with the ST-LINK/V2-ISOL, including digital isolation up to 1000 Vrms.
The debugger uses a USB full-speed interface to communicate with ST Visual Develop (STVD) or ST Visual Program (STVP) software for STM8 applications and various integrated development environments for STM32 applications.
SWIM Specific Features:
- Application Voltage: 1.65 V to 5.5 V
- Programming Speed Rate: 9.7 Kbytes/s (low speed) and 12.8 Kbytes/s (high speed)
JTAG/SWD Specific Features:
- Application Voltage: 1.65 V to 3.6 V
