The SoftPot membrane potentiometer consists of a conductive resistor, sealed encasement, and wiper assembly. It functions as a voltage divider with two resistive output channels and an electrical collector channel. By pressing the wiper onto the top circuit, the desired electrical output is produced.
The wiper design can adapt to various applications using materials like plastics, metals, sliders, rollers, and wheels. The SoftPot can also be manually actuated by hand.
