The SM72295 is specifically designed to drive 4 discrete N type MOSFETs in a full bridge configuration, providing 3A of peak current for efficient switching. It features integrated high-speed bootstrap diodes for enhanced performance.
The current sensing capability, with 2 transconductance amplifiers and programmable gain, ensures accurate feedback information by removing ripple current. The buffered outputs of the current sense amplifiers offer a low impedance interface if connection to an A/D converter is required.
Furthermore, the driver includes an externally programmable overvoltage comparator to shut down all outputs as needed. The under-voltage lockout with a PGOOD indicator safeguards against low VCC conditions, preventing operation when necessary.
