SIM900A Modem is a dual-band GSM modem from SIMCOM, operating at 900MHz frequency. It can automatically search and set frequency bands using AT Commands. The baud rate is configurable from 1200 to 115200 through AT commands. This ultra-compact wireless module features an interface for connecting PCs and microcontrollers with an RS232 Chip (MAX232).
It is ideal for SMS, Voice, and Data transfer applications in M2M interfaces. The onboard regulated power supply allows connection to a wide range of unregulated power supplies. With simple AT commands, you can make audio calls, send SMS, read SMS, and handle incoming calls. This GSM module is suitable for various microcontroller projects and offers options for connecting MIC and SPEAKER directly for calls.
The SIM900A Modem supports communication through RS232 with a DB9 Connector, TTL Pins, and I2C Pins. It also provides facilities for CALL, SMS, and GPRS with MIC input, LINE input, and SPEAKER output pins.
