The SIM808 module offers dual functionality, supporting GSM/GPRS Quad-Band network and GPS technology for satellite navigation. It features ultra-low power consumption in sleep mode and is integrated with a charging circuit for Li-Ion batteries, providing a super long standby time ideal for projects using rechargeable Li-Ion batteries. With high GPS receive sensitivity and support for A-GPS, this module is suitable for various applications including real-time vehicle tracking, commercial fleet management, public transport monitoring, surveying, mapping, geophysics, and soldier tracking.
The module is controlled by AT command via UART and supports a 3.0V to 5.0V logic level interface as well as an RS232 Interface. It also supports GPS NMEA protocol and standard SIM Card. The SIM808 GSM GPS Modem operates on a 12V DC supply.
