- I2C Grove interface for easy MCU communication
This IR thermal camera features a 1612 array of thermal sensors (MLX90641) with a center area accuracy of 1 and average accuracy of 1.5. It utilizes the I2C protocol for obtaining low-resolution thermal images, with a FOV of 110x75 and a temperature measurement range of -40 to 300.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use an MCU with over 20000 bytes of RAM to drive the camera. The module can be connected to an MCU using the I2C interface. Note that Arduino UNO is not suitable for use with this camera due to its lower calculation ability.
The sensitive heat sensor in this thermal imaging camera can detect subtle temperature differences in the surrounding objects, allowing for high precision non-contact temperature measurements. It is ideal for various applications including microwave ovens, intrusion detection systems, and industrial temperature control.
