The Grove- Piezo Vibration Sensor module is based on the PZT film sensor LDT0-028. It generates a certain voltage when in motion, producing high and low levels through the voltage comparator. Despite its high receptivity for strong impacts, the wide dynamic range of 0.001Hz~1000MHz ensures excellent measuring performance. The sensitivity can be adjusted by turning the potentiometer with a screw.
Applications include vibration sensing in washing machines, low-power wake-up switches, low-cost vibration sensing, car alarms, body movement detection, and security systems.
