The RPLIDAR A2M8 is the enhanced version of the 2D laser range scanner (LIDAR) capable of performing 2D 360-degree scans within a 12-meter range. It utilizes SLAMTEC patented OPTMAG technology to ensure stable long-term operation. The system is ideal for mapping, localization, and object/environment modeling.
The RPLIDAR A2 adopts a low-cost laser triangulation measurement system developed by SLAMTEC, providing excellent performance in various indoor and outdoor environments. Each unit undergoes strict testing to meet FDA Class I laser safety standards before leaving the factory.
The RPLIDAR A2 is based on the laser triangulation ranging principle and features high-speed vision acquisition and processing hardware. It can range more than 8000 times per second, emitting modulated infrared laser signals for accurate distance and angle measurements.
