The Raindrops Detection sensor module is used for rain detection and measuring rainfall intensity. It can be utilized for various weather monitoring purposes and translates the data into output signals and Analog output. The module consists of a rain board and a separate control board for added convenience. It features a power indicator LED and adjustable sensitivity through a potentiometer. The module operates based on the LM393 op-amp.
As raindrops collect on the circuit board, they create paths of parallel resistance that are measured via the op-amp. The module's output voltage is inversely proportional to the resistance, with lower resistance resulting in lower voltage output. A completely dry board will cause the module to output 5V.
The sensor module uses high-quality FR-04 double material with a large area of 5.5 * 4.0 CM. It is treated with nickel plating and surface oxidation resistance, ensuring superior performance in terms of electrical conductivity and lifespan. The comparator output provides a clean signal with a good waveform and strong driving ability of over 15 mA. The module offers potentiometer sensitivity adjustment and has a fixed bolt hole for easy installation.
