The P89V51RD2 by NXP (Phillips) is an 80C51 microcontroller with 64 kB Flash and 1024 bytes of data RAM. It features an X2 mode option that allows for increased throughput by choosing a faster clock rate. The Flash memory supports both parallel programming and in-system programming. With its ISP capability, the device can be reprogrammed in the end product under software control. Additionally, the P89V51RD2 is In-Application Programmable, enabling reconfiguration of the Flash memory even while the application is running.
