The Arduino Ethernet Shield 2 allows your Arduino Board to connect to the internet effortlessly. It is equipped with the Wiznet W5500 Ethernet chip, providing a robust network stack capable of both TCP and UDP protocols. With support for up to eight simultaneous socket connections, this shield ensures seamless connectivity.
Featuring a standard RJ-45 connection with an integrated line transformer and Power over Ethernet enabled, the Shield also includes an onboard micro-SD card slot for storing files to serve over the network. The Shield is compatible with Arduino Uno and Mega using the Ethernet library, making it versatile for various projects.
The Shield's onboard micro-SD card reader is accessible through the SD Library, with SS on Pin 4 when working with the library. Additionally, the Shield includes a reset controller to ensure proper reset of the W5500 Ethernet module on power-up.
With Tinkerkit compatible connectors for Analog Inputs, Analog Outputs, and the TWI interface, this Shield offers flexibility for different applications. The Shield also features information LEDs for power indication, activity status, network link presence, and data transmission.
