MX Red/Black Speaker Cable is designed with Copper Clad Aluminum conductors insulated and jacketed in PVC, providing excellent flexibility. This wire is ideal for connecting speakers to your stereo or home theater receiver, as well as for use in any 12 Volt or home project.
The cable is rated for a temperature range of 20 C to 60 C and a voltage range of 6 to 80 Volts. Please note that this wire is not based on the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard, as it is made of Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) which has different electrical properties compared to Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) wires.
CCA wires are suitable for low current applications such as signal processing. To achieve similar electrical resistance as OFC wires, it is recommended to reduce the CCA gauge size by 2.
