- On-board modules: MQ-8 sensor for hydrogen (H2)
Top Features:
- Gas sensing layer made of tin dioxide
- Adjustable load resistance with potentiometer
- Wide detection range: 100-10000ppm
- Preheating required for precise calibration
The Hydrogen Click carries an MQ-8 sensor specifically designed for hydrogen (H2) detection. The tin dioxide gas sensing layer on the sensor unit provides lower conductivity in clean air, with conductivity increasing as hydrogen levels rise. Calibration for specific environments is made easy with a small potentiometer that allows adjustment of the load resistance of the sensor circuit.
For accurate calibration, the sensor requires preheating, taking over 24 hours to reach the optimal temperature once powered up. Communication with the target board is facilitated through the AN (OUT) mikroBUS line, with the Hydrogen Click designed to operate on a 5V power supply only.
Applications: Hydrogen detection, gas leakage
