Incorporating a successive approximation architecture, the MCP3301 A/D converter is ideal for battery powered systems and remote data acquisition applications. With ±1 LSB Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and ±1 LSB Integral Nonlinearity (INL) for B-grade devices, it ensures high accuracy in signal conversion. The SPI™ serial interface allows seamless integration with PIC® microcontrollers.
Operating with typical standby and active currents of only 50 nA and 300 µA, respectively, this device offers low power consumption, making it suitable for portable instrumentation and battery-operated applications. The MCP3301 has a broad voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and can achieve conversion rates of up to 100 ksps. The reference voltage can be adjusted from 400 mV to 5V, providing flexible input-referred resolution.
