The MaxBotix MB7851 Tank Sensor is a low-cost liquid-level monitoring sensor utilizing ultrasonic technology for non-contact sensing. It is designed for easy use in applications requiring liquid-level detection, especially in containers like tanks, barrels, and bins. The sensor features a teaching function (available with serial communication) to train the sensor for accurate ranging even in the presence of obstructions like corrugation.
Factory calibrated for reliable long-range detection zones, the MB7851 offers noise-free distance readings with high-output acoustic power, continuous gain adjustment, automatic calibration, waveform analysis, and noise rejection algorithms. It operates effectively in environments with acoustic and electrical noise sources.
