LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), also known as a photoresistor, is a resistor that changes its resistance based on the light intensity it receives. This 12mm LDR can be used in various applications such as light sensors, color sensors, object sensors, and line sensors.
To use the LDR, connect one side of the photo cell to a power source (e.g., 5V) and the other side to your microcontroller's analog input pin. Additionally, connect a 10K pull-down resistor from the analog pin to ground. The voltage on the pin will vary based on the light conditions.
Common applications of this sensor include camera exposure control, automatic headlight dimming, streetlight control, and more.
