The IR1150 is a power factor correction (PFC) control IC designed for continuous conduction mode operation over a wide range of input line voltages. It utilizes IR's proprietary "One Cycle Control" technique, offering a cost-effective solution for PFC while maintaining high system performance compared to traditional methods.
The IC features programmable switching frequency, dedicated overvoltage protection, soft start, cycle-by-cycle peak current limit, brownout and undervoltage protection, and more. It eliminates the need for noise-sensitive line voltage sensing and can be driven into a micropower "Sleep Mode" for low standby power requirements.
Additional features include latch immunity, ESD protection, and lead-free options. The IR1150 is a versatile solution for power factor correction applications, providing efficient performance and protection in a compact design.
