IR Receiver LED is a photodiode with a cathode and anode, similar to a normal LED. The shorter lead is the cathode, and the longer lead is the anode. It is always connected in negative polarity, with the anode connected to the ground and the cathode to the supply voltage. When light falls on the IR Receiver LED, it allows current flow, with the amount of current directly proportional to the light intensity.
The IR Receiver LED has a diameter of 5mm and a power dissipation (Pd) of 100mW. It operates at a reverse voltage of 5V and a forward voltage of 1.2V-1.3V. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +100°C, with a peak response wavelength of 940nM. The lead spacing is 2.54mm.
Package Includes: 2 x IR Receiver LED 5mm
