The HCPL-3150 optocoupler is specially designed to drive power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. It provides the necessary drive voltages for gate-controlled devices, making it suitable for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200 V/50 A. For higher-rated IGBTs, consider using the HCPL-3120 for driving a discrete power stage.
