The VL53L0X is a Time of Flight distance sensor with a tiny invisible laser source and precise ranging capabilities. It offers accurate distance measurements and is perfect for integration into various applications.
The module is designed for low-power operation and supports multiple thresholds and interrupt schemes. It can be easily integrated into development devices due to its small form factor and perforated PCB section supporting the VL53L0X module.
Unlike traditional sensors, the VL53L0X provides precise measurements without linearity problems or double imaging. It can be used for basic gesture recognition and operates in multi-module applications.
Default configuration includes a serial baud rate of 9600 and high precision mode. Remember to remove the sensor film before use for optimal performance.
The VL53L0X is based on ST's FlightSense technology, offering absolute distance measurement regardless of target reflectance. It combines an IR emitter and a range sensor for accurate Time-of-Flight measurements.
