This Flexible coupling with an outer diameter of 25mm and a length of 32mm is a machined aluminum coupling. The spiral cut in the middle along its length makes it flexible, allowing it to fit two shafts even if they are not perfectly co-linear, reducing binding effects. Known as Beam coupling, helical coupling, or Flexible coupling.
The helical cut makes them behave like a spring in the X, Y, and Z linear axes but not in the rotational axis, reducing backlash and making them suitable for precision CNC work.
