The eSun PETG 3D Filament combines the benefits of ABS and PLA filaments. It is an easy-to-print material with high toughness and heat resistance. PETG filament also offers good layer adhesion and a little bit of flexibility. PET-G is a very strong, water-resistant thermoplastic, with a beautiful shiny result. PET is well-known plastic, commonly used in soda bottles. In recent years, PETG has become a popular material for 3D printing due to its great properties.
Printing with PETG is almost as easy as PLA but requires a bit more effort. The material has strong bonding with itself, so squishing the first layer is crucial to prevent blobbing around the nozzle. PETG has great layer adhesion, resulting in strong and bendable prints. It doesn't adhere well to other materials, and glue may not grip effectively.
PET-G can be printed with or without a heated bed with minimal warping. Using a 65 degrees heated bed is recommended for easy print removal. The material offers a glossy finish and fantastic translucent colors. It combines the advantages of both PLA and ABS, being strong, impact-resistant, and more flexible than PLA. PETG is odorless, with low shrinkage and smooth flow.
