DS3231 Mini RTC is a Mini Real-Time Clock module designed for Raspberry Pi, but it can also be used with Arduino. The DS3231 RTC IC self-adjusts to 3.3V and 5V, providing battery backup for continuous timing with low-power consumption. It offers complete clock functions including seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year timing, valid up to 2100. The module features two calendar alarms, 1Hz, and 32.768kHz output, as well as reset output and input buttons. It operates on a debounced high-speed (400KHz) I2C serial bus.
Many RTC modules are designed to operate at 5V, which may not be compatible with the Raspberry Pi's 3.3V operation. The DS3231 Mini RTC operates at 3.3V, making it perfect for adding an RTC to your Raspberry Pi.
