It is commonly used in mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, DSC/DVC, portable DVD players, etc., as DC-DC Converter inductors. When a current is applied through the inductor, a magnetic field is generated around it. The magnetic field produced by using a magnetic core is significantly stronger than others.
