The CD4538 is retriggerable and resettable, with internally latched control inputs. It offers precise control of output pulse-width using linear CMOS techniques. The pulse duration and accuracy are determined by external components RX and CX. The device ensures no discharge through the timing pin on power-down, eliminating the need for an external protection resistor.
Input protection from static discharge is provided on all pins, ensuring reliable operation. With a wide pulse-width range of 1 ms to %, the CD4538 offers symmetrical output sink and source capability. It features low standby current of 5 nA (typ.) @ 5 VDC and is pin-compatible with CD4528.
