The CD4051 analog multiplexers and demultiplexers are designed to dissipate extremely low quiescent power over the full VDD – VSS and VDD – VEE supply-voltage ranges, regardless of the logic state of the control signals. These multiplexer circuits offer matched switch characteristics with rON = 5 ? (Typical) for VDD – VEE = 15 V.
With binary address decoding on chip and 5 V, 10 V, and 15 V parametric ratings, the CD4051 ensures reliable performance. It also features very low quiescent power dissipation under all digital-control input and supply conditions, with only 0.2 µW (Typical) at VDD – VSS = VDD – VEE = 10 V.
The break-before-make switching eliminates channel overlap, providing seamless operation. The CD4051 IC Datasheet contains detailed information for further reference.
