Top Features:
- Advanced RISC Architecture
- Up to 16 MIPS Throughput at 16 MHz
- On-chip 2-cycle Multiplier
- Extensive On-chip Debug Support
By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the Atmega8A achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, balancing power consumption and processing speed. The device supports a throughput of 16 MIPS at 16 MHz and operates between 4.5-5.5 volts.
The Atmega8A microcontroller features 32 x 8 General Purpose Working Registers, fully static operation, and high endurance non-volatile memory segments. It also includes 8 Kbytes of In-System Self-programmable Flash program memory, 512 Bytes of EEPROM, and 1 Kbyte of Internal SRAM.
Additional features include optional Boot Code Section with Independent Lock Bits, True Read-While-Write Operation, and Programming Lock for Software Security. The microcontroller is suitable for applications in multiple DIY projects, projects requiring logical control for devices, and microcontroller applications for multiple device interface/control.
Minimal circuitry is required for a complete functional project using the Atmega8A microcontroller.
