The AMS1117-3.3V is a low dropout voltage regulator with an output voltage of 3.3V. It features a current limiting and thermal protection function, making it suitable for a variety of applications including battery chargers and high-efficiency linear regulators.
AMS1117 also offers a very low standby current of 2mA and has a dropout of 3.3V at a 1A load current, outperforming competitors with its efficiency. It ensures stability with thermal shutdown and current limit functions, and maintains a high output voltage accuracy within 2%. The adjustable version allows for a customizable output voltage range from 1.25V to 12V with just two external resistors.
Applications of the AMS1117-3.3V include the 2.85V model for SCSI-2 active termination, post regulator for switching DC/DC converters, battery-powered instrumentation, and more.
