The Natural Gas Module is a battery-operated detection device specifically designed for the detection of natural gas (methane) in concentrations below 100% LEL (4.4% CH4 in the air). Please note that the sensor is not suitable for measuring propane and butane. The sensor features a test button for easy functionality check and an audible alarm option with an embedded buzzer for immediate alerts.
The heart of the device is the MP-7227 MEMS pellistor sensor, allowing for low-power operation using standard AA-type batteries. The module is also equipped with visual (LED) and audible (buzzer) alarms to inform users of potential gas leakage. Additionally, it can transmit data related to the module's state and gas concentration if connected to an external receiver working with the serial RS232 standard.
