The AD737 is a precision, monolithic, true rms-to-dc converter. It offers high accuracy for a wide range of input waveforms including variable duty cycle pulses and triac controlled sine waves.
The device computes the rms value of both ac and dc input voltages with a maximum error of ±0.2 mV ± 0.3% reading with sine wave inputs. It operates within a wide power supply range from ±2.5 V to ±16.5 V, making it versatile for various applications.
With high accuracy maintained for input waveforms and a low power supply current requirement of 160 ?A, the AD737 is optimized for portable multimeters and battery-powered devices. The absence of an output buffer amplifier minimizes dc offset errors and enhances compatibility with high input impedance ADCs.
The AD737 is available in two performance grades: AD737J and AD737K for commercial temperature range and AD737A for the industrial temperature range.
Specifications are included to provide detailed insight into the device's capabilities, ensuring accurate and reliable performance in a variety of operating conditions.
