AD595 Thermocouple Amplifier
Complete thermocouple amplifier with cold junction compensator
- Pretrimmed for Type: K (AD595) Thermocouples
- Low Impedance Voltage Output: 10 mV/°C
- Built-In Ice Point Compensation
- Wide Power Supply Range: +5 V to +36 V
The AD595 is a versatile instrumentation amplifier and thermocouple cold junction compensator integrated into a single chip. It offers a high-level output directly from a thermocouple signal, making it ideal for various temperature measurement applications.
Pin-strapping options allow for flexible usage as a linear amplifier-compensator or a switched output setpoint controller. The AD595 is capable of amplifying its compensation voltage directly, converting it to a stand-alone Celsius transducer with a low impedance voltage output.
Equipped with a thermocouple failure alarm, the AD595 can detect open thermocouple leads and has TTL drive capability for alarm outputs. Its operational range can be extended below 0°C by including a negative supply, and it consumes minimal power to prevent self-heating.
- Operating Temperature Range: -55°C to 125°C
- Output Short Circuit to Common: Indefinite
The AD595 features laser trimming for type K thermocouple inputs, with calibration accuracies of ±1°C for the C version and ±3°C for the A version. It is available in hermetically sealed ceramic DIP and low-cost cerdip packages, catering to various application needs.
With its wide range of features and compatibility with different thermocouple types, the AD595 is a reliable choice for temperature measurement and control applications.
