The AD590 is a 2-terminal integrated circuit temperature transducer that produces an output current proportional to absolute temperature. It is calibrated to 298.2 µA output at 298.2 K (25°C) using laser trimming of thin-film resistors.
It is suitable for temperature-sensing applications below 150°C, eliminating the need for support circuitry. The AD590 is ideal for temperature measurement, compensation, biasing, flow rate measurement, level detection, and anemometry.
Insensitive to voltage drops over long lines, the AD590 is easy to multiplex and can be operated at a distance from receiving circuitry. It is available in chip form for hybrid circuits and fast temperature measurements.
