- MOSFET for LED control
This sensor module features 8 IR LED/phototransistor pairs with a 0.375" pitch, ideal for line-following robots. The pairs of LEDs are designed in series to reduce current consumption, and a MOSFET enables the LEDs to be switched off for additional sensing or power-saving options. Each sensor provides an independent analog voltage output, offering flexibility in applications.
With an operating voltage range of 3.3 to 5V and a current supply of 100mA, this module is suitable for various DIY electronics and robotics projects. The optimal sensing distance of 3mm and a maximum recommended distance of 6mm make it versatile for different applications. The 15mm distance between each IR sensor allows for precise detection capabilities.
The module includes both analog and digital output pins, along with a potentiometer for adjusting the sensitivity of individual sensors. It eliminates the need for analog-to-digital conversion, providing improved sensitivity compared to voltage-divider analog output.
Applications:
- Line Follower Robots
- Object Array Sensing
