The 78M15 is a positive voltage regulator identical to the popular 78M15 Series devices, but with half the output current capacity. Designed for local on-card voltage regulation, this device features internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry, and safe-area compensation for the internal pass transistor, ensuring rugged performance under most conditions. With adequate heat sinking, the maximum output current is 500 mA.
The 78M15 High Accuracy (±2%) version is available for 5.0 V, 8.0 V, 12 V, and 15 V. It also comes with the NCV Prefix for automotive and other applications requiring unique site and control change requirements. These devices are Pb-Free and meet AEC-Q100 qualification and PPAP capability standards.
