The 74LS365 IC contains six independent gates, each functioning as a non-inverting buffer. It features a 3-STATE output, providing low impedance characteristics when enabled, allowing driving of bus lines without external resistors. When disabled, the output transistors are turned off, presenting a high-impedance state to the bus line, acting neither as a load nor a driver. The disable time is shorter than the enable time to prevent conflicts on bus lines.
