The 74HT4020 is a versatile 14-stage binary ripple counter ideal for frequency dividing circuits, time delay circuits, and control counters. It features reduced input threshold levels for seamless interfacing with TTL logic levels. The counter advances on the HIGH-to-LOW transition of CP, while a HIGH on MR clears all counter stages and forces all outputs LOW, regardless of CP's state. The device is designed to comply with JEDEC standard no. 7A.
Additionally, the inputs of the 74HT4020 include clamp diodes, allowing the use of current limiting resistors to interface with voltages exceeding VCC.
