The 74HC240 3-STATE buffer utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology, providing high drive current outputs for high-speed operation, even with large bus capacitances. It offers speeds comparable to low power Schottky devices while maintaining high noise immunity and low power consumption. With a fanout of 15 LS-TTL equivalent inputs, this inverting buffer features two active LOW enables (1G and 2G), each controlling 4 buffers independently. All inputs are protected from static discharge damage by diodes to VCC and ground.
