A load cell is a transducer used to create an electrical signal. The signal's magnitude is directly proportional to the force being measured. This standard load cell can measure weight up to 40 Kg, making it ideal for use in weighing machines.
Through a mechanical arrangement, the force deforms a strain gauge, which in turn measures the deformation as an electrical signal. Since the strain changes, the wire's effective electrical resistance also changes. A force calculation algorithm uses the transducer's output to calculate the applied force.
This load cell is typically used in various measuring instruments like weighing scales, universal testing machines, and more.
