For lightweight aerodynamic parts, this plain weave carbon fiber features a 3k tow (3000 filaments per fiber) and is a commonly selected fabric style, delivering uniform strength in both horizontal and vertical directions. It is the most popular, most common carbon fiber. It gives the plate a classic carbon fiber look. 3K is the workhorse of carbon fiber. The strength of carbon fiber reinforced polymer is 6-12 times that of steel, and density is less than 1/4 of steel.
