There are 27 grades of Ferrite Magnets available, with C5 and C8 being the main grades used today. C5 is a general choice for applications like over band magnets, while C8 is preferred for loudspeakers and motors due to its higher coercivity.
It's important to note that Ferrite magnets are different from soft ferrites used in transformers. Ferrite magnets are permanent magnets that retain their magnetism.
