Ferrite magnets, also known as Ceramic Magnets, Ceramic Ferrite Magnets, Feroba Magnets, and Hard Ferrite Magnets, are ideal for higher volume production runs due to their low cost. They are corrosion-free and can be used in damp, wet, or marine environments. With a working temperature range of -40°C to +250°C, Ferrite magnets are suitable for various applications.
There are 27 grades of Ferrite Magnets available, with C5 and C8 being the main grades used today. C5 is a general choice for applications like over band magnets, while C8 is preferred for loudspeakers and motors due to its higher coercivity.
Ferrite Magnets are popular in motor, generator, loudspeaker, and marine designs, as well as in industries such as automotive, aerospace, military, and more.
Soft ferrites used in transformers are different from Ferrite magnets, as the latter retain their magnetism permanently.
