Ferrite magnets, also known as Ceramic Magnets, Ceramic Ferrite Magnets, Feroba Magnets, and Hard Ferrite Magnets, are low-cost magnet materials suitable for higher volume production runs. They are corrosion-free and can be used in damp, wet, or marine environments. With a maximum temperature tolerance of +250 degrees C, Ferrite magnets come in 27 grades, with C5 and C8 being the main grades used today.
C5 (Feroba2, Fer2, Y30, HF26/18) is a general choice for applications like over band magnets, while C8 (Feroba3, Fer3, Y30H-1) is preferred for loudspeakers and sometimes motors due to its higher coercivity. Ferrite magnets are popular in various industries such as automotive, sensor, aerospace, and more. They are ferrimagnetic in performance and are commonly used in motor, generator, loudspeaker, and marine designs.
Isotropic sintered ferrite permanent magnetic materials have weak magnetic properties but can be magnetized in different directions. Anisotropic sintered ferrite permanent magnetic materials have strong magnetic properties but can only be magnetized in a predetermined direction.
Applications:
- Motor
- Generator
- Loudspeaker
- Marine designs
