This set of four 100mm Heavy Duty Mecanum 4 Wheels is designed for high-performance robots used in competitions like Robocon, Robocup, US First, and Battle robots. The Mecanum wheels allow the robot to move in any direction without changing its orientation by varying the speed and direction of the motors.
Moving all four wheels in forward and backward causes the robot to move in those directions, while running wheels opposite to each other on each side allows lateral movement without changing orientation. The Mecanum wheels have the advantage over Omnidirectional wheels as all four wheels contribute force when the robot moves in any direction without changing its orientation.
